Factory Exhibition Project

25.07.2019 – 25.08.2019

Factory exhibition project seeks to draw the public's attention to an outstanding phenomenon in the Ukrainian history – majolica production. Vasylkiv Majolica Factory was a large-scale enterprise producing artistic ceramics that was highly appreciated by consumers and the art community in the 1960s–1980s. It was during this period that the eminent Ukrainian artists — Nadiia and Valerii Protoriev, Mykhailo Denysenko and Nelli Isupova — worked there. Factory project focuses on studying their artistic heritage.

The Island

17.07.2019 – 02.09.2019

The Island exhibition project is devoted to Ada Rybachuk's and Volodymyr Melnychenko's children's illustration. It dates back to the 1950s-1980s and holds a special place not only in the oeuvre of the artistic duet but in the Ukrainian art heritage as well. Ada and Volodymyr used various techniques (from appliqué to linocut) and relied on expressive color solutions that astonish the modern illustrators and painters to this day. Every book they worked on has its own story laconically embodying the confrontation between the need in the artistic self-expression and the governmental control over the arts.

Trajectory

Ihor Yanovych

14.12.2016 – 30.01.2017

Ihor Yanovych

In a new series named The Trajectory an artist continues to work with themes of space, time, external and internal matters and their interaction through closer work with shape – in a unified style and using limited range of colors. The series title alludes to a sequel of things that happened before, to a continuation of speculations that lead the artist from one project to another.
